Using this life simulation game, players can customise dogs and cats by choosing from 75 pre-installed dog breeds and 30 cat breeds. Creating families or groups of Sims in varied environments, as well as creating pets with The Sims 2 Pets is sheer fun and provides hours of entertainment for players. The highlight of this Sony PlayStation 2 video game is creating behavioural patterns for the pets, using Sims to train and mould the personality of the pet. If the player has no Sims who remain at home with the pets, the pets may end up with unruly behaviour. The player has to strike a balance to ensure that the Sims have lives to lead while the pets are looked after too. This makes the game interesting as the Sims have artificial intelligence which the player has to use to his or her advantage.
