A touching story that explores the very real impact
of a woman's battle with a life-threatening illness
can have on her inner circle of friends. When
Barbara, a recent breast cancer survivor, throws
an intimate birthday party for their best friend Jean,
the events of the evening slowly wear down the
defenses that Barbara has built up to hide her post
operative fears.
Barbara's husband Jack, who until now has been
avoiding the changing attitude in his wife by being
physically absent from her much of the time, finally
speaks his mind in front of the entire dinner party.
His hurtful words cause the emotional chasm
between him and his wife to deepen still further.
Over the course of an evening, their friend's love,
support and exasperated calls for action, prompt
Barbara and Jack to finally open up to one another
about their experience. Finally speaking freely about
the illness and how it has affected their relationship,
they allow the real healing process to begin.
In the end we are shown that even in our most
personal battles, there is a healing power that
evolves from our network of friends and family.

Our team aim to pack, check and dispatch orders within 24 hours of receiving your order Monday to Friday. Where an order is placed after 2pm AEST on Friday it may not be dispatched until Monday. During the Christmas holiday season, orders may take more than 24 hours before dispatch.
Overseas deliveries leave our warehouse every Wednesday.
We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.
To start a return, you can contact us at info@retrounit.com.au. If your return is accepted, we’ll send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.
