Tekken 2 - Playstation PS1 NTSC-J Japan NAMCO Fighting Game.

**Please note: This is for the Japanese PS1 console or region free mod consoles!

Tekken 2 is the second installment in the popular Tekken fighting game series. It was first released in arcades in 1995, and later released for the PlayStation in 1996. The original arcade version of the game was released in Tekken 5 's Arcade History mode for the PlayStation 2, in 2007 for the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Portable via the PlayStation Network, and in 2009 for Zeebo via ZeeboNet. It was succeeded by the popular Tekken 3, which came in 1997.

Following the exceptional success of the original Tekken, the sequel raises the bar on what was expected of what ultimately ended up a gaming franchise. Enhancements were made from perhaps every aspect of the game. Characters are more varied and numerous, the moves possible with each of these characters is multiplied many fold, and the environments which they interact are certainly more detailed.

Gameplay however remains familiar. Action is on three dimensions, and the characters are fully rendered in 3D. Matches are set as best of three, and a win is scored when the opponents health bar is decreased to zero. Multiples of damage are scored for combination hits and complex moves which are sequences of button combinations.

The game takes place 2 years after the original Tekken. The game features 23 fighters from all over the world. The game features special fighting modes and a training mode.

PLOT:
Two years have passed since the King of the Iron Fist Tournament. On a stormy night, a lone figure fights his way up a rocky cliff until he reaches the top.

The Mishima Zaibatsu, under the leadership of Kazuya Mishima, has become even more corrupt and powerful than ever before, as well as becoming involved in many illegal operations. These include kidnapping, extortion, smuggling of endangered species for illegal experiments, and blackmail. Unknown to everyone, Kazuya is being backed up by a mysterious force known as Devil, who inhabits Kazuya's body and serves as his only counsel.Nina Williams is sent to kill Kazuya (though he managed to capture her),Michelle Chang's mother has been kidnapped by Kazuya men for her amulet, and animal rights activist: Jun Kazama is sent to arrest Kazuya for experimenting on endangered species.

Kazuya's biggest problem, however, is when news reaches his ears that his father, Heihachi Mishima (whom he defeated two years ago in the first King of the Iron Fist Tournament) is alive and plotting revenge against him. In an attempt to rid himself of Heihachi and his enemies once and for all, Kazuya announces the King of the Iron Fist Tournament 2, with a cash prize one thousand times the first (one trillion dollars).

Jun Kazama eventually comes face to face with Kazuya, but rather than arresting him, she finds herself drawn to him. She later ends up pregnant, with Kazuya being the father. In the confusion, she departs from the tournament.

In the final round, Heihachi confronts Kazuya, and they battle once again. Heihachi wins the first round, prompting Devil to take over Kazuya's body and unleash his full power. This results with Kazuya becoming a Devil-like creature. Despite his advantages, Devil is still defeated by Heihachi, and flees the unconscious body of Kazuya.

After the tournament, Devil attempts to inhabit the body of Jun's unborn son, but Jun manages to fight him off. Heihachi, meanwhile, takes Kazuya's body to a volcano, and drops him in. Heihachi then escapes on a helicopter as the volcano erupts behind him, having finally taken his revenge and regained his company.

NEW CHARACTERS IN TEKKEN 2:
1 - Alex (unlockable, alternate costume for Roger)

2 - Angel (unlockable, alternate costume for Devil, Final boss for Devil)

3 - Baek Doo San (unlockable): First appeared in Tekken 2 as the sub-boss of Marshall Law. According to the storyline, Baek accidentally killed his father during a sparring session, which left him in doubt over his own skills. As a result of his father's death, Baek went on a rampage, destroying several dojos. One of the worst hit happened to be Marshall Law's. Baek then left a note there telling him that he will be in the second King of Iron Fist tournament. The two met there and had a match, in which Baek lost.

4 - Bruce Irvin (unlockable): Who had lost both his parents and elder brother in his infancy, grew up living a life plagued by hunger and much violence. Disliking the cards fate had dealt him, Bruce yearned to live the good life, he therefore turned to fighting and joined the police force.
Bruce was sent to Japan to investigate the Mishima Zaibatsu and its leader Kazuya Mishima. Kazuya arranged for the plane Bruce was on to crash, however Bruce survived the crash, although he lost his memories. Kazuya then found him and hired him as a bodyguard. In Tekken 2, Bruce fought his old Police partner Lei Wulong, who entered the tournament to arrest Kazuya. Bruce was defeated and attempted to escape on another plane, however the place exploded. Many believed Bruce to be dead, though he returned in Tekken 5.

5 - Jack-2: Jack-2 is the upgrade of Jack, also created by the Mishima Zaibatsu. One of these models, while on a battlefront, witnesses a young girl named Jane lose her mother, and takes it upon himself to look after her until he is destroyed by Dr. Abel.

6 - Jun Kazama: Is an officer of the WWWC, a wildlife protection organization. She is called "The Chosen One" by her relatives. She is highly psychic and can sense a mysterious power surrounding Kazuya Mishima, which turns out to be the Devil Gene threatening to turn him into a demonic version of himself. At the WWWC's orders, she sets out to arrest Kazuya, who smuggles environmentally-protected animals. When the King of Iron Fist Tournament 2 was coming to an end, Jun comes to the stunning realization that Kazuya's supernatural strength stems from Devil. But she cannot help being drawn to him by a mystic force beyond her control.
During the King of Iron Fist Tournament 2, Jun met Wang Jinrei who was looking for a fighter to quell the Devil and she defeated him. She then became pregnant by Kazuya Mishima. At the conclusion of the tournament, Devil left Kazuya and attempted to possess Jun's unborn child. Jun, however, proved to be superior and defeated Devil before fleeing to the forests of Yakushima, where she intended to raise her child away from evil and danger. She later gave birth to a baby boy, whom she named Jin. 15 years after the birth of her son, Jun sensed the approaching of Ogre and warned Jin to seek out his grandfather Heihachi Mishima should anything happen to her. One night, Ogre did indeed attack. Jun screamed for Jin to run away, but he wished to protect his beloved mother from Ogre and charged at him, but was well outmatched and was quickly knocked unconscious. When Jin woke up, the Kazamas' house had burned to the ground and Jun was missing. Jin searched frantically through the rubble, but couldn't find his mother anywhere. Jin was devastated and swore revenge on Ogre.

7 - Lei Wulong: Was a respected police officer, dubbed "super cop", who put countless criminals behind bars. Just as Marshall Law bears a resemblance to Bruce Lee, Lei bears a strong resemblance to Jackie Chan who also plays a super cop in some of his movies. He was investigating the illegal hunting and trading of endangered animals done by the Mishima Zaibatsu during Tekken 2 and fought Bruce Irvin, who was working for Kazuya Mishima. Lei defeated Bruce, who escaped in an airplane, but it crashed.

8 - Roger (unlockable): Kazuya Mishima took over the Mishima Zaibatsu from Heihachi. The Zaibatsu became more corrupt than ever under Kazuya's leadership and engaged in many illegal activities such as assassination, extortion, drug dealing and the smuggling of endangered species. Kazuya also recruited Doctor Boskonovitch to work for him. One of the projects he was commanded to work on was creating genetically engineered creatures. Through Boskonovitch, modified animals were created with DNA samples. Roger was created from Kangaroo DNA, whereas Alex (was created using DNA from Dromaeosaurid fossil samples.
Kazuya thought that Roger and Alex were worthless creations, and wanted to kill them. However, Roger and Alex managed to escape. They then met Armor King, who taught them to wrestle. Both Alex and Roger enter to fight in the Second Iron Fist Tournament. Jun Kazama infiltrated the second Iron Fist Tournament to arrest Kazuya, who is smuggling and experimenting on endangered species. She found Roger and Alex and quickly arranged for them to live out their lives in Australia, where they would be safe. Alex does not appear and is not mentioned in subsequent games, although is present in Street Fighter X Tekken in the background of the Dino Crisis stage.
