Super Robot Wars 64 is a tactical role-playing game for the Nintendo 64. It was released only in Japan in 1999. The game can make use of the Nintendo 64's Transfer Pak with the Game Boy Color game Super Robot Wars: Link Battler

This is the first work to incorporate a large number of game original characters called Banpresto originals into the scenario of the main story. Also, since this work, the amount of text in the intermission has increased dramatically (the story progresses in conversation between each stage), and the scenario has come to be emphasized. In the battle scenes, the units hardly move like in the works before "α", but it was developed in parallel with "α", which began to have large animations (actually, the development of "α" started earlier. [4] , but the release was earlier in "64"), the background is expressed in 3D, and the unit rushes from the back to the front, making it a powerful one. The character has a bust-up graphic in both intermission and battle scenes, and the character is further emphasized compared to previous works where only the character's face was displayed.
