Shin Hye Sung - The Beginning, New Days : Special Edition (CD, 2007, 2-Disc)

Shin Hye-sung, who debuted in 1998 as a member of the South Korean idol group Shinhwa, quickly became the focus of attention with his captivating voice and shy demeanor. As the lead vocalist of Shinhwa, his excellent singing led to his formation into the group "S" in 2003 with fellow vocalists Kangta and Lee Ji-hoon, releasing an album and winning numerous awards, including the Korean Music Award for Artist of the Year. Having garnered countless awards during his time with Shinhwa and "S," he released his first solo album, "May Love," in 2005. He subsequently won numerous awards, including the 2005 SBS Gayo Daejeon (Main Award) and the 20th Golden Disk Awards (Main Award), further demonstrating his vocal prowess and solidifying his position in the music industry.

After a hiatus of 2 years and 3 months, Shin Hye-sung's second solo album, "The Beginning, New Days," has finally been released. More mainstream than his previous album, this album, prepared over a long period, aimed to fully showcase Shin Hye-sung's vocals in all its tracks. Therefore, Shin Hye-sung's unique style and hard work are clearly evident in this album. Furthermore, this album is expected to be one of the best ballad albums of the year.

This album features contributions from many of South Korea's top songwriters. First, there's Shin Hye-sung's debut album title track, "Same Thoughts," and Fly to the Sky's "Missing You." Also included is Park Chang-hyun, composer of "The One Who Stays," a duet between Shin Hye-sung and Kim Dong-wan (Shinhwa) on their recently released solo album; Lee Jung-hyun, composer of Wheesung's "Can't We?" and Shin Hye-sung's debut album track, "Sorry, I Forgot You"; and Ahn Jung-hoon, composer of "Back to Your Side" for the soundtrack of the Korean drama "Lovers in Paris," among others. In particular, the title track "The First Person," composed by Cho Young-soo (transliteration), the composer who wrote "My Person" for the best-selling Korean R&B group "SG Wannabe," is a sweet pop ballad with a Beatles-like style. Sampled from Bach's "Song on the G String," the classic melody and Shin Hye-sung's gentle and delicate vocals form a perfect combination.

This special edition, originally imported from Korea, includes three new songs: the latest ballad "Even If I Erase Forgetting..." and the Japanese limited edition tracks "Tears" and "I Just Want to Hold You" from "The Beginning, New Days," as well as a deluxe photobook!
