Lou Delemere (Ally Sheedy from High Art and St. Elmo's Fire), a former professional golfer turned motivational speaker, who lives with her charming girlfriend Alex (Patsy Kensit from Lethal Weapon 2 and Twenty-One), seems to have it all: fame, fortune and a beautiful lover.

Lou's perfect life is turned upside down when she is attacked near her home. This traumatic turn of events sends her and Alex retreating to their country estate on Shelter Island. The usually tranquil island becomes a haven of isolation as a severe storm takes out phone and electrical lines and cuts off transportation to and from the island.
During this stormy evening, the presence of an unwelcome stranger (Stephen Baldwin from The Usual Suspects and Fled), a perverse Sheriff (Chris Penn from Murder by Numbers and True Romance) and an alluring beauty (Mimi Langeland from The Reunion) takes Lou and Alex into uncharted waters. Danger and sexual intrigue swells up around them and no one is who they appear to be.
