Lord and Lady Foxley (Peter 0'Toole, Joan Plowright) are quintessential British aristocrats that have fallen on bad times.
Lacking the funds to repair their eroding mansion, they reluctantly agree to rent out their home. Things take a turn for the worse when their servants fail to show and as a result, they are forced to take on the roles of butler and housekeeper themselves.
What the proper Brits do not realize is that they are in for the shock of their lives. Their new houseguests are
America's hottest new rock band "Global Heresy".
With problems of their own, the band tries to put together new material without their frontman Ben (Alex Karzis) who has mysteriously disappeared on the eve of their European tour. Things however seem to fall into place with the new addition of Nat (Alicia Silverstone), the beautiful and talented bass player who is called in to fill the void. The band continues rehearsing, but it comes increasingly apparent that Nat is much better than Ben ever was. Just when things are looking up,
Ben returns and informs the band that the whole thing has been a publicity stunt. He forces his way back into the band, persuading the others to axe Nat, while changing everything that they have been working so hard on.
