Don Bradman, the best batsman the cricket world has ever seen, tells his life story in an ABC Radio Sports exclusive.
The series contains eight one-hour programs which Sir Donald, who was knighted for his services to cricket, recorded with Norman May.
Sir Donald talks about his introduction to cricket and his early experiences in the game and describes in detail cricketing events which made history. He gives previously untold information about the 'Bodyline' series which created a sensation in Anglo- Australian cricket over sixty years ago and comments on the criticism he attracted in the 1930s and 1940s.
As well as Sir Donald's massive contribution to the series, many of his contemporaries in Australia and England go on record, recalling the man and the deeds which helped create a golden era in Australian sporting history.
