Kununurra the Leylands see how the weird Boab Tree nuts are
used to make works of art, investigate the mighty Ord River and
the huge Lake Argyle which abounds with birdlife, visit some of
the most ancient rock art galleries with Aboriginal elders, see Wolf Creek
Crater, the second largest meteorite crater in the world, camp at Lake Gregory,
a desert oasis for thousands of birds and traverse the vast Tanami Desert to arrive
at Alice Springs.
EPISODE 23: Affer leaving Alice Springs the Leylands travel south to the magnificent and
remote Rainbow Valley, Chambers Pillar a strange rock column used by early explorers as landmark
in the desert, follow the old historic Ghan Railway route, investigate opal mining at Coober Pedy, visit
the lake with the longest name in Australia, see how talc rock produces talcum powder and sculptures
and cross the sandy wildemess of the Strezlescki Track to Cameron's Corner where New South Wales,
South Australia and Queensland meet.
EPISODE 24 TASMANIA: Mal Leyland takes viewers on a historic journey through time from the first
settlement in 1802 to the present day. Highlights include the notorious Port Arthur penal settlement
with its incredibly cruel so called model prison, the amazing wildlife of the mountains and the
striking beauty of the Cradle Mountain Lake St. Clair National Park. Tasmanian devils, platypus, fairy
penguins and Australian fur seals all feature as we look at the unique wildlife of Tasmania. We see
how the modem city of Hobart has emerged from its convict past into one of the leading cities in
the souther hemisphere. We travel underground beneath the city to see what is left of the original
small stream which encouraged the early settlers to Hobart where it is. For anyone contemplating a
trip to Tasmania this is a must see film.
EPISODE 25 AUSTRALIA'S CELTIC COUNTRY: Mal Leyland guides us through the Highland Region of
the New England tablelands in New Soth Wales to find out why the region around Glen Innes is known
as Australia's Celtic Country. See how the remarkable Standing Stones, now a National Monument,
came to be erected after the style and scale of the originals built in Neolithic times 4000 years ago.
Highlights include, sapphire mining, the diverse national parks of the Gibraltar Range (including
the largest stand of Coachwood Trees in the world), the history of the pioneering squatters and a
truly stirring Celtic festival with a finale of massed pipe bands. Not only is this a story that traces the
remarkable history of the region but we also see how the Scots, Irish and Cornish who settled here,
have influenced the character of the 21st century highlanders.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.
