Generations of children have learnt from nursery rhymes how to count, tell the time, name different colours and shapes - all sorts of things. Mark Macleod is a children's author and a senior lecturer in children's literature at Charles Sturt University. Well known as an arts presenter on television and radio, he was children's publisher at Random House Australia. He also published books for adults and young readers under his own name imprint at Hodder Headline/Hachette Australia. Winner of the Children's Book Council's Lady Cutler Award and the Australian Publishers Association Pixie O'Harris Award, his latest picture books are Just One More (ABC Books) and Snugglepot and Cuddlepie's Sleepover (Scholastic).
