In 19th century Ireland, a confident English aristocrat, Agnes McDonnell (Greta Scacchi - Brideshead Revisited), meets the younger, strong willed James Lynchehaun (Daniel Craig - Casino Royale), whom she hires to be the manager of her lavish estate. A divorced woman who scandalises the locals with her smoking, drinking and impropriety, she is fascinated by this wild, blue-eyed Irishman when he wins a brutal horserace at a local country fair. Despite their class differences, and the fact that Lynchehaun is a renowned con-artist, the couple embarks on a torrid affair. But the relationship quickly degenerates as Lynchehaun drags McDonnell into a hostile web of violence and political intrigue.
Based on a true story, this tale of passion and betrayal is a
gripping and beautifully photographed period drama that sees the future James Bond in one of his best early roles.

We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.
