Collection of five family comedy adventures. 'Hook' (1991) stars Dustin Hoffman as the eponymous pirate and Robin Williams as Peter Pan. Busy American lawyer Peter Banning (Williams) takes his family to London for a holiday with Granny Wendy (Maggie Smith), but the visit takes an unexpected turn when Peter's children are abducted by the villainous Captain, forcing the lawyer to confront his past and accept that he is the grown-up Peter Pan. With the help of fairy Tinkerbell (Julia Roberts), he then returns to Never-Never Land ready to confront his old enemy and win back his family. In 'Jumanji' (1995), Judy and Peter Shepherd (Kirsten Dunst and Bradley Pierce) move into a new house with their aunt Nora (Bebe Neuwirth), they discover a mysterious board game in the attic. But when they begin to play, with each move they release wild animals along with Alan Parrish (Williams), a grown man who has been trapped inside the game since he was 12-years-old. Together they must seek out Alan's friend Sarah (Bonnie Hunt), with whom he started the game 26 years ago, and re-enter Jumanji in order to send back all of the wild beasts. In 'Small Soldiers' (1998) Alan Abernathy (Gregory Smith) is working at his father's toy store when he receives a sample of two new ranges of action figures: the Gorgonites, a race of aliens, and the Commando Elite, a tough bunch of war-ready soldiers. However, when Alan takes them home, the figures come to life and begin to engage each other in a furious running battle, with the Commando Elite transforming ordinary household implements into deadly weapons as they wage war against their alien foe. When Alan realises what is going on, he joins ranks with the Gorgonites and starts to draw up plans to bring an end to the commando threat. 'Thunderbirds' (2004) follows the intergalactic adventures of the Tracy family, headed by former astronaut Jeff Tracy (Bill Paxton), who lives with his five sons on the top-secret Tracy Island, which also houses the headquarters of the top-secret International Rescue organisation. When villainous criminal The Hood (Ben Kingsley) orchestrates an elaborate plan to remove Jeff and his four eldest sons temporarily from home, so that he can invade the island and attempt to steal some of the organisation's most valuable equipment, it is left to Jeff's youngest son Alan (Brady Corbet) to save the day. Finally, 'Flipper' (1996) stars Elijah Wood as rebellious teenager Sandy Ricks who is sent to spend the summer with his irresponsible but well-meaning uncle Porter (Paul Hogan). Upset because he is going to miss a Red Hot Chili Peppers concert, Sandy soon finds a friend in a dolphin he names Flipper. Together they stumble upon toxic waste being dumped on Porter's fishing grounds.
