Notes:
The songs were recorded on BMG Victor. Songs from "B'z," "Off The Lock," "Break Through," the mini-album "Bad Communication," and singles are used. The compilation comes housed in a box with two jewel cases containing the discs and a booklet with the lyrics. The discs themselves do not have artwork. The main artwork of the box is a close-up of wood with the symbol of an atom and "Flash Back B'z" in the middle. Each CD jewel case has its own cover. The first disc has an abstract design with "Flash Back B'z I" in the middle. The second disc has a robotic-looking skull with clenched teeth and displaying "Flash" in one eye and "Back" in the other eye. "Flash Back B'z 2" is also written at the top.
The album is currently not listed on B'z's official discography. It was released by the label BMG JAPAN the same week as ZARD's ZARD BLEND ~SUN & STONE~ album. Although B'z had released some material on the label before, BMG JAPAN was not the official copyright holder of B'z's material at the time, which was owned by Being, and had used their images and songs without permission. B'z released their first official compilation album, entitled B'z The Best "Pleasure," a year later.
