3M™ PELTOR™ SportTac™ is an intelligent active hearing protector especially developed for hunters and shooters. The smooth adjustment of the hearing protector' level dependent function gives the user particularly pleasant sound reproduction and less interference.
The unique digital audio circuit eliminates the abrupt sound cut-off that characterizes many level dependent hearing protectors on the market. It is this abrupt cut-off that is experienced as being unpleasant and disruptive.
The electronics respond at lightning speed and protect the user's hearing from loud impulse noises.
The main advantages of active 3M™ Peltor™ hearing protectors:
1. Allow normal hearing and even amplification of standard sounds: speech, commands, instructions, background sounds - allow you to talk, train, train, etc. freely.
2. Protect your hearing when shot (noise)
3. The volume control allows you to hear better than normal human hearing - it amplifies standard sounds up to 19dB. Comparing with passive protectors, active at maximum volume setting allows up to 10 times better audibility.
