Don't look now, but here comes a bare-fisted uppercut to the dome from THQ's "Pride FC" for the PlayStation 2. The first game to focus on the no-holds-barred Japanese fighting federation, "Pride" is already shaping up to be the definitive mixed martial arts game. Just like the real thing, there are several different ways to throw down in "Pride." Standing toe-to-toe and duking it out with punches and kicks is just the beginning. You can shoot in and take it to the mat for some grappling action from a variety of positions, or mounts. Professional wrestling fans will recognize some submissions like the timeless figure four leglock. "Pride" features a rather robust roster of fighters and a fairly extensive create-a-fighter option. Though some of the more popular UFC fighters like Tito Ortiz are nowhere to be found, "Pride" is the first mixed martial arts game to feature the Japanese professional wrestling phenom Kazushi Sakuraba.
