When wrongly convicted ex-cop Mike Aguayo arrives in the South American island paradise to manage a nightclub with his ex-partner Eddie, he quickly becomes involved in Puerto Rico's seedy underworld.
Mike is introduced to the ruthless Carlos Rivera Jr, who puts an indecent proposal to him, asking him to sleep with his wife Renee in exchange for two hundred grand - an offer that Mike refuses.
