The 98th edition of the Tour de France has been described as "the best ever" - quite a
statement for an event that dates back to 1903. A race that has developed into a French
institution, in recent years it has been globalised by an "Anglo invasion". Non-Europeans
such as Americans Greg LeMond and Lance Armstrong have challenged for the yellow
jersey but never before has a rider from the southern hemisphere
stepped on to the top podium in Paris - until now!
From the moment the Tour started its torturous journey on the historical roads of the
Passage du Gois on the Atlantic coast, it was Cadel who was always in the mix. The race
traversed around the "hexagon" of France following a course which took in traditional
areas such as Brittany, the Massif Central, the Pyrenees and the Alps before working
its way back to the Champs Élysées. In that time Cadel rode like a favourite and overall
contender. Thomas Voeckler held the yellow jersey for 10 days, and on the final weekend,
a rollercoaster battle between Voeckler, the Schleck brothers, Alberto Contador
and Cadel would decide the ultimate champion.
Cadel had the weight of support from a nation on his back, not to mention the
professionalism of a highly-tuned team in BMC Racing, to guide him to success.
He was brilliant, he was brave - this was Cadel's finest moment!

Our team aim to pack, check and dispatch orders within 24 hours of receiving your order Monday to Friday. Where an order is placed after 2pm AEST on Friday it may not be dispatched until Monday. During the Christmas holiday season, orders may take more than 24 hours before dispatch.
Overseas deliveries leave our warehouse every Wednesday.
We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.
To start a return, you can contact us at info@retrounit.com.au. If your return is accepted, we’ll send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.
