STAGE DOOR is the archtypal study of young actors trying to break into show business. The action takes place in and around a New York City boarding house for aspiring actresses. One of the girls, Kaye Hamilton (Andrea Leeds), is pursuing the ingenue lead in a new play to be produced by Anthony Powell (Adolphe Menjou). The part goes instead to newcomer Terry Randell (Katharine Hepburn), a wealthy society girl determined to become a great actress without any help from her family (ironically she gets the part only because her father is financing the play, a fact she does not know). It is how the other aspiring actresses in the cast (including Ginger Rogers, Ann Miller, Lucilkle Ball, Eve Arden) react to Powell and Randall, and eachother, that makes STAGE DOOR memorable, as well as one of the best films of the thirties.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.
